Celigo’s May release is live!

This release introduces major platform enhancements, including a refreshed user interface, key updates to the API Builder, JSON preview panels with line numbers, and improved Lookup Cache management.

Connectivity includes enhancements for Workday, Active Directory, and Amazon S3, along with new HTTP and Trading Partner connectors. The Integration Marketplace also introduces updates to the Cash Application Manager Integration App, featuring improved logic for invoice matching.

Platform

UI Enhancements

We’re excited to announce the launch of our new design system for the platform, which improves usability, consistency, and overall user experience.

New Celigo users will start with the redesigned Flow Builder interface by default, making it easier to begin building integrations. Existing users will see the interface based on their saved preference, or default to the classic version if no preference is set.

Builders can toggle between interfaces at any time, ensuring a streamlined experience for new users without disrupting existing workflows.

The refreshed, modernized user interface:

  • Introduces updated colors, typography, spacing, and components, delivering a cleaner and more intuitive feel.
  • Improves accessibility through enhanced color contrast, better keyboard navigation, and expanded screen reader support to ensure the platform is accessible to everyone.
  • Demonstrates consistent design patterns across pages and components to create a unified experience, reducing friction and enhancing usability.
  • Deploys responsive design enhancements to optimize layouts, ensuring an improved experience across various screen sizes.

API Builder

The API Builder now matches the modern look of the Flow Builder, enhancing user experience and productivity.

The updated interface includes:

  • A unified and clear visual scheme, removing distinct color-coding between request and response sections.
  • Redesigned error and success states for clarity.
  • Enhanced interactions for canvas and steps, along with refined management of tools, hooks, and branching.
  • Improved drag-and-drop functionality and keyboard accessibility.
  • Enhanced test mode capabilities.

Users will retain the option to temporarily switch back to the classic interface, allowing a smooth transition to the new design.

Line Numbers on JSON Preview Panels

In response to requests from our customer Product Advisory Council, JSON preview panels now feature line numbers and expand/collapse functionality. Line numbers allow builders to more easily troubleshoot and collaborate, while the expand/collapse feature simplifies navigation of complex, hierarchical data structures.

These enhancements significantly improve the user experience for debugging and data validation.

Lookup Cache

Enhancements to Lookup Cache:

  • Users can now clone Lookup Caches from development environments to production, simplifying deployment.
  • References to Lookup Caches are preserved during snapshots, reverts, pulls, and merges, while the actual cache data remains live and unchanged
  • JavaScript scripting support provides greater flexibility, enabling programmatic interaction with lookup caches, such as inserting, updating, retrieving, and deleting cache entries.
  • Future updates will include integration with handlebars expressions, further enhancing functionality.
  • The data in a lookup cache is not available in Integration Lifecycle Management (ILM). Although references to the lookup cache are included (like in mappings and transformations), ILM does not store or manage lookup cache entries. Learn more about managing lookup caches in ILM.

Connectivity

Active Directory Connector

The Active Directory Connector now includes a user-friendly “Simple View,” complementing the existing SQL view. Simple View allows users to toggle between an advanced SQL view for manual query writing and a simplified, visual, application-centric interface designed for quicker and easier query creation without coding.

Users without advanced SQL skills can build queries in Simple View to efficiently select columns, define conditions, and utilize standard boolean operators (AND, OR, NOT) for robust filtering.

Workday Connector

The Workday Connector has undergone significant improvements to enhance flexibility and accessibility:

  • Core functionality, including authentication, imports, and exports, is fully available.
  • Introduction of Text-to-SQL capability, allowing users to formulate queries using natural language, which the system translates into accurate Workday SOAP API queries.
  • Query Editor provides typeahead suggestions and real-time previews, improving query accuracy and reducing errors.
  • A simplified user view for query creation is planned for upcoming releases

These updates empower non-technical users to swiftly access and analyze Workday data, turning complex data queries into straightforward, actionable insights.

Amazon S3 Connector

We’ve introduced advanced concurrency management settings to the Amazon S3 connector for enhanced performance tuning and rate-limit resilience. Users can now configure the Target Concurrency Level to optimize throughput and view the current Concurrency Level for better visibility. A new “Borrow Concurrency From” option allows leveraging shared concurrency pools across connections.

Additionally, we’ve added an “Auto-recover Rate Limit Errors” toggle to automatically retry operations when rate-limiting issues are detected.

These updates provide greater flexibility and stability when handling large volumes of data with S3.

Integration Marketplace

Cash Application Manager

The May release brings expanded invoice matching logic in Cash Application Manager (CAM). CAM can now be configured to match on Customer Name, Invoice Number, and Invoice Amount before applying a payment. This reduces incorrect payment applications when incorrect invoice numbers are provided and helps to prevent downstream reconciliation issues for high-volume customers.
