AI & Hiring

Our take on AI and hiring.

How we use it. How you can use it. Where we draw the line.

How our recruiting team uses AI

We use AI to handle the busywork, which allows us to focus on the part of recruiting that matters most: getting to know you. Every hiring decision at Celigo is made by a person.

Job descriptions, questions & outreach

Hiring managers may use AI to help draft job descriptions, interview questions, and sourcing outreach. Every candidate answers the same core questions for consistency and to reduce unconscious bias. A real person always reviews and shapes the final version.

Always human-reviewed

Interview recording & transcription

We may use BrightHire or Zoom AI Companion to record and transcribe interviews (with consent). Lets interviewers stay present in conversation and creates a consistent record. You'll always be notified and can opt out.

Consent required

Agentic interviewing

For certain roles, we may use an AI interview agent at the top of the funnel. The hiring team defines questions and scoring rubric in advance — same structure for every candidate. A human reviews all results and makes the call.

Human reviews all results

How you can use AI

Here's where AI helps, where it needs care, and where it isn't permitted during our process.

AI is fine to use for language, structure, and errors. Your experience must be accurately represented.

With caveats

Varies by role — your recruiter will specify. When allowed, be ready to walk through prompts, decisions, and reasoning.

Role-dependent
Not permitted

Live Interviews

Real-time AI prompting, script reading, or live transcription is not permitted outside approved accessibility accommodations.

Not permitted

Where we draw the line

We welcome AI. We don't welcome misrepresentation.

Misrepresenting your skills, experience, or qualifications, regardless of whether AI helped.

Submitting work as your own that you can't speak to in a follow-up.

Using real-time AI assistance during live interviews without prior disclosure or approved accommodation.

The candidate in the interview must be the one who applied.

We want to meet the real you, not an AI-polished version of you. We're curious, driven people hiring for curiosity and drive. The best thing you can bring to any Celigo interview is your genuine perspective and how you think.
