Meet Nick! Before coming to Celigo, Nick spent time in the logistics industry, building client relationships and helping manage the supply chain for companies of all sizes. He joined Celigo in January of 2019 as a Sales Development Representative, viewing Celigo as a great company to both begin and grow a new career in the software space. He excelled in the SDR position, quickly moving into a Team Lead position and then assumed the SDR Manager role shortly thereafter. He most recently stepped into a new role in the sales organization as an Account Executive towards the end of 2020, and looks to continue his career journey at Celigo for as long as possible.
Nick spent almost all of his life in Sacramento, California, but recently moved with his wife to the Boise, Idaho area. He spends most of his free time exploring his new state with his wife, playing football, basketball, or disc golf, and volunteering at his local church. An avid sports fan, you can often find Nick watching highlights of old NY Giants games, or figuring out how to take his many fantasy football teams to the next level.
When you tell people about your job, what’s one thing that surprises them, or gets them excited about the work you do?
Nick: With how much of our world today is in the cloud, it’s easy for people to see the value of their processes being automated, as well as their data being both secure and accessible. Not many people know what iPaaS is on the surface, but once explained, people get excited because it solves a very real and practical issue for a lot of businesses, and their roles within those businesses.
Tell us about your role. What’s a typical day like?
Nick: Every day at Celigo brings new lessons and experiences, but ultimately each day comes down to trying to show the value of iPaaS to companies everywhere, and how it can truly impact their business processes in a positive way.
What’s been your proudest moment at Celigo?
Nick: My proudest moment at Celigo was definitely seeing how the Sales Development team responded, adapted, and performed in the midst of the pandemic this past year. COVID-19 brought a lot of challenges in terms of how we operated as a team, but it was awesome to see how each person adapted and showed resilience throughout the year, ultimately playing a part in Celigo surpassing our company goals despite the pandemic.
When has been your favourite team building activity while working remote and why?
Nick: Finding ways to stay connected and cohesive as a team is always a challenge while working remote. The Celigo HR team did a great job keeping the Celigo culture intact through virtual happy hours, birthday celebrations, and other virtual events. On a team level, the Sales Development team would often get together for virtual happy hours on Friday afternoons, which was always a highlight for me and a great way to stay connected as a team.
