Thanks to all of you who attended our breakout session in SuiteWorld 2013 where JP Foerster – Director of Solutions, Celigo showcased the preview of the new CloudExtend for Gmail to a standing-room only Partner Break-out crowd.
The wait is over and CloudExtend for Gmail will be available for everyone on June 30!!
CloudExtend for Gmail has been completely redesigned to make it simple, fast and powerful. It allows the users to save the important email conversations to NetSuite right from Gmail.
With the browser extensions installed for Chrome and Firefox, users will see a small non-intrusive Celigo ‘O’ button below the Reply button for all the emails. Clicking this opens Celigo CloudExtend for Gmail popup that allows you to save the emails and their attachments to the respective NetSuite record. You can as well do a search to associate it to another NetSuite record or create a new NetSuite record right from your Gmail window without going to NetSuite by clicking on the NetSuite ‘N’ icon next to the search. We support all the major record types – Lead, Customer , Prospect, Employee, Vendor, Opportunity, Sales Order, Invoice, Quote, Task etc.

Want more? You also have an option to send and save your message to NetSuite right from the Compose window. So, next time you are sending an email to that customer or Prospect – do not just send it – ‘Celigo Send’ it. Which would ensure your conversation is tracked in NetSuite for future reference along with sending it.

For Internet Explorer users, they can always launch the Celigo bookmarklet by clicking on the bookmark created.
Once an email is associated with a NetSuite record, the user can always find the email in the Gmail subtab for the particular NetSuite record.
How to get started?
For new CloudExtend for Gmail users, once your NetSuite Administrator has installed the CloudExtend bundle, procured Licenses and completed Account setup, you should receive an email for the individual setup. After a minor guided process, your Gmail would be ready to tete-a-tete with NetSuite.
For existing CloudExtend for Gmail users, the new release should be available automatically as soon as they install the browser extension / bookmarklet. However, the earlier Gmail gadget would continue to show up unless that is removed by your Gmail administrator by following the steps that are mentioned here.
The release notes for CloudExtend for Gmail 2.0 can be found here.
