I’ve gone to every SuiteWorld, both as a customer and as a vendor. In both cases the days just fly by, and it was no different for SuiteWorld 2015. As the Director of Account Management at Celigo, SuiteWorld provides a rare opportunity to meet many of our over 700 customers from around the world in person. I think our customers appreciate the opportunity to put a face with a name as much as we do.
This years keynotes by Zach and Evan were presented “in the round” which was really different (in a good way). It was especially heartwarming to hear about the partnership between Microsoft and NetSuite since it validates what we’ve been doing with our Celigo Productivity Apps (CloudExtend for Google Apps and our Excel SmartClient). Satya, Microsoft’s CEO, is really embracing the cloud and we look forward to being right there with him. We’re already experts. NetSuite even hired us to build their free Outlook plug-in and we’re currently in the process of building an enhanced integration for Office365 that will support Outlook, Calendar, and OneDrive.
One of the highlights of SuiteWorld for me is our Customer Focus Groups. This year we had customer Focus Groups for our Salesforce Connector, Magento Connector, Integrator, and our Excel SmartClient. In addition to providing attendees with previews of what we’re cooking up for future releases we also provided an opportunity for our customers to provide feedback and help drive future enhancements.
As an example, one of the biggest pieces of feedback we received from our Salesforce Connector Focus Group last year at SuiteWorld 2014 was that customers wanted more control over their integration. Rula Kallas, our VP of Services, took this feedback to our product team and this year they delivered a brand new Salesforce Connector, completely rewritten from the ground up. The new Salesforce Connector is now self configurable thanks to our new Configuration Wizard. Just one of the many self configurable features is a new graphical mapping tool that allows customers to map new fields in minutes. I can’t wait to see what our product team comes up with next year based on all of the feedback.
I’m already looking forward to seeing new faces at SuiteWorld 2016 and sharing all of the great things we’ll be doing between now and then. See you next year!
