1. What is the new NetSuite two-factor (2FA) requirement?Back to Top
To provide an extra level of security, NetSuite 2018.2 release requires all NetSuite users with privileged roles to use two-factor authentication (2FA). 2FA requires the user to provide the second authentication factor when requested and is therefore unsuitable for integrations, which need to run in a fully automated, unattended mode.
Consequently, we are requiring all Celigo integrations* to use NetSuite connections with the more secure and reliable Token-Based Authentication (TBA). This will allow integrations to run in a fully automated, unattended mode.
2. Will I need to change my Celigo integrations?
Yes, for certain NetSuite integrations from Celigo you will need to make changes when using “Basic” authentication type. If your integrations are already set up with “Token” for all NetSuite connections, you do not need to make any changes.
Note that these changes are not applicable to OpenAir so if you are using the OpenAir – Salesforce Connector, you do not need to do anything.

3. How do I check which authentication type I’m using for NetSuite?
As detailed in the video, go to the Settings page of your integration. Select “Connections” from the left-hand menu. Click on the pencil icon next to your NetSuite Connection and in the “Authentication Type” field, you will either see “Basic” or “Token”.
4. How do I check when my NetSuite account will be upgraded to 2018.2?
NetSuite 2018.2 upgrade will be staggered over a two month schedule. To determine when your NetSuite account is scheduled for the upgrade, go to your NetSuite Home page where you will see the date of your upgrade as shown in the example screenshot. Since this schedule is managed directly by NetSuite, any questions or updates need to be obtained directly from NetSuite.
5. What happens if I continue using “Basic” authentication for NetSuite?
When your NetSuite account is upgraded to 2018.2, your NetSuite connection will fail and the integration flows that require access to NetSuite will stop working.
