NetSuite Data Management Simplified: On-Demand
The Data Manager is a subscription based NetSuite add-on product for importing, updating, and deleting NetSuite records through CSV files. In contrast to NetSuite’s built in CSV import tool, the Data Manager supports all record types exposed via NetSuite’s SuiteTalk interface. This includes most transaction types and list types. Powered by the Celigo Integrator, the Data Manager runs entirely within your NetSuite account—in full accord with NetSuite’s one system philosophy.
Business Problems Solved
The Data Manager can be used to map any CSV file to any SuiteTalk supported NetSuite record type.
- Transaction Imports: Supports the ability to import/update/delete Sales Orders, Invoices, Customer Payments, Time Bills, Inventory Adjustments, and much more.
- List Data Imports: Supports the ability to import/update/delete Jobs, Tax Items, Campaigns, and much more.
- Custom Business Logic: Supports the ability to inject custom business logic that can be executed before data is imported. When a CSV file represents more than just a simple data import, this feature can fill the gaps needed to keep your input processes fully automated.
Features
Why custom build a SuiteTalk based import tool when one already exists and is ready for immediate use through the NetSuite user interface you are already familiar with?

Data Mapping
The ability to map source fields to target fields is probably the most import component in any data import tool. Using the Data Manager, you will not only be able to easily map CSV columns to NetSuite fields; you will also be able to hard code the values for specific fields, and setup complex lookup objects capable of keeping your NetSuite ids in sync with your external data ids.
Import, Update, and Delete Data
The ability to import, update, and delete CSV files is implemented through a familiar custom NetSuite page. The page supports the ability to upload your file; choose your pre-configured mapping template; add, update or delete your data; and more.
For deleting data, a saved search is used to export the records to be deleted, and the exported file is uploaded through the same interface.
Import Status
Once an import is started, you will be routed to an import status page where (similar to NetSuite’s import page) you will be able to monitor the progress of your job. In contrast to NetSuite’s import page, you will be able to see the results of your job as it is processed, and you will be given the ability to cancel your job in the scenario where things have gone awry. All this is implemented via NetSuite’s SuiteBuilder technology, and can easily be extended to include email alerts and scheduled reports—to be run on your status data
