Setting up Enhanced Message Sync

The Enhanced Message Sync feature setup is a two step process that is initiated by a NetSuite Administrator. Before, setting up the feature, you should set up the licensed users as described here. If you add new users or reallocate a license to another user, you should re-run Step 3 described below.

Step 1: Administrator – Create a folder to store attachments

Log in to NetSuite as an Administrator and go to Documents > File Cabinet. Create a new folder where you intend to store attachments from Gmail within the root folder of the NetSuite File Cabinet. Once created, note the Internal ID of the folder, by hovering the cursor over the folder. E.g. in the example below, the folder’s Internal ID is 240.

Step 2: Administrator – Set the Attachments Folder ID

Go to Setup > Customization > Record Types. Locate the custom record named Celigo Google Control Panel. Click on the link labeled List, to list the records of this type. Click on Edit next to the record listed, and switch to the Gmail Gadget sub tab. Type in the Internal ID obtain in the above step, in to the Attachments Folder field and click Save.

Step 3: Administrator – Initiate the Deployment Script

Execute the Celigo CloudExtend Gmail Sync Setup command from Setup > Custom. You will see a notification that the script has been scheduled to run.

Step 4: End-User – Complete the Message Sync feature Setup

Once the script execution mentioned in Step 1 is complete, each licensed user will receive an email with a link that will take him/her to a Google Docs Spreadsheet that outlines the steps that are required to complete the setup.
